media PROGRAM
Our Media Program focuses on art, books, and posters. It is designed to help broaden the interests of many recipients who may not otherwise have access to resources within their own communities.
According to data presented by the National Center for Education Statistics and the program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies:
"54% of U.S adults read below a sixth-grade reading level (20% are below 5th level)."
Georgia only allocates 14 cents per resident (ranked #50) for arts funding, which is $1.59 million for a population of 11 million people. In comparison, Hawaii (ranked #1) allocates the most arts funding per capita at $11.18 per resident, totaling $16 million in funding for a population of 1.4 million.

Create art at your own pace! Apply and receive drawing pencils, pens, color pencils, oil paint, watercolors, paintbrushes, erasers, canvas, and sketchpads. Art tools are also provided upon availability.
