About the Role

Tu Beauty is looking for a qualified attorney well-versed in nonprofit law to assist in our day-to-day operations. Providing legal guidance, compliance oversight, and advisory support across our programs, policies, and overall organizational framework.

About Our Organization

TU Beauty is a nonprofit empowering lower-income communities in the metro Atlanta area by providing access to educational resources and self care products. Our inventory is a reflection of the massive over-production of goods that sit on store shelves and in backrooms that go unused, and our goal is simple— we want to get these resources to people who will use them. Furthermore, TU Beauty endorses personal development and embracing challenges; we believe in creating equal opportunities and a safe space for our community members.

Qualifications:

~ Juris Doctor (JD) in Law and an active license to practice law in the state of Georgia

~ Strong legal writing, research, and policy analysis skills

~ At least 2 years of experience in Law

~ Critical problem-solving and strong communication skills

~ Experience in Nonprofit/Business Law (preferred, but not mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

~ Review legal documents and contracts

~ Assist with legal compliance, nonprofit governance, and regulatory requirements (Ex: IRS 501(c)(3) filing)

~ Provide support and advice on various legal matters

~ Support the drafting, review, and revision of organizational policies, agreements, volunteer documentation, and program-related contracts

~ Review legal risks related to programming, partnership agreements, and online platforms
