Hello! I am Ayantu, one of the founders of TU Beauty. This nonprofit was created as a way for us to provide a wide array of programs to better support our community.
We believe that beauty flourishes when people are able to develop self-confidence in themselves, and TU Beauty wants to be a part of that journey. We aim to support those that are reaching for their goals but may not have the resources to start. These programs are designed to get the most basic of resources into the hands of those that need them. Rest assured, you can rely on us.
Low-income communities deserve to have the chance to cultivate skills without breaking the bank or settling and learning only “transferable” skills. Whether that be learning about niche topics through books they received from our program (also known as TU Books) or pursuing dreams of working in special effects makeup because our makeup program (TU Makeup) had such a vast range of products. We know that gaining the confidence to try new things can be scary, and worse, expensive, but we want that decision to be easy. Our nonprofit aims to bridge the monetary gap in hair care, skin care, and makeup that prevents people from affording what works for them. Everyone deserves good products.
Furthermore, our education and self care programs are just the beginning. TU Beauty will work to add more programs in the future. The possibilities are endless!
